Lauren Bobo-Shisler of Newport Swim Team broke a long standing Oregon record at the 10 & Under Championships. Lauren broke the existing 8 & Under 25 back record set way back in 1982.  Her time of 16.78 beat Amy Ward's 16.91.

The Club Leadership and Business Management School will held on Saturday April 14, 2012 from 9:00AM – 3:00PM at the Willamalane Sports Center, 250 S. 32nd St. Springfield, OR 97478.
Enter off of 32^nd St., park in the south lot and enter through the south entrance.  We will be in the “Ken Long” room which is on the right after entering the building.

The fee is $10.00 per person. We will provide lunch.

Oregon Swimming is saddened by the loss of former coach and swimmer, Seth Dawson, in a plane crash on Wednesday, 02/15/2012. He was 31. He holds Oregon records as members of 8&U 100 medley relay set in 1988 and Open 200M free relay with MHA and was a three time Washington high school state champion

Seth started his swimming career with Vancouver Swim Club as an eight and under swimmer. In 1997, transferred to Mt. Hood Swim Team, now Mt. Hood Aquatics, where he trained and coached. Seth received All American Honors for 4 years competing for California State University at Bakersfield from 2003-2006. He was a member of the 2004 Mens NCAA Division II National Championship Team. Seth graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration/Sports Management before returning to MHA as a coach. Seth also coached briefly at Aquatic Club of Bakersfield. In addition, he helped coach the Oregon Swim Camp and the Roadrunner Swim Camp in Bakersfield, California. In 2009, Seth moved to the Seattle area to coach at Valley Aquatic Swim Team as well as Kentlake High School. Seth will be remembered for his enormous talent, his good nature, being a friend to everyone, and will be missed by many.

Officials meetings at the 2012 High School State CHampionships in Gresham are set for:

6A: 7:45AM - Prelims, 6:45AM - finals

1A-4A: 12:45 PM - both days

5A: 5:00PM - both days

Officials are needed for the OSI 10 and Under Championships at Willamalane Pool
in Springfield on February 18 and 19.  Officials meeting are at 12:30 PM on Saturday and at
9:00 AM on Sunday.

Swimmers from THSC set a number of records in the 11-12 age group.  The boys 400 free relay of Josh Yadao, Myron Shen, Anthony Nosack, Jaume Martinez-Calvo lowered the National Age Group record.  Great job swimmers.
