Stroke and Turn Clinic in Portland

A stroke and turn clinic will be held May 5th, 7:30 - 9:30PM at the Portland Eastside Community Center, 740 SE 106th Ave, which is 2 blocks south off of 106th and Washing/Stark Street.

Space in Lincoln City Meet

There is still some room in the LCSC April Invitational Meet next weekend April 29, 30 and May 1st.
It's a fun single session meet with time to go play at the beach and have those bonfires!

Online Officials Tests Unavailable

April 18, 2011

ALL online officials tests will be deactivated on April 15th for updating to the 2011 Rulebook and will be reactivated on May 1, 2011. This is the same update that takes place every year and there is nothing wrong with the website.  The deactivation also applies to the FOUNDATIONS OF COACHING TEST, but Safety Training for Swim Coaches is still up and available.

Navy Seals Challenge at Mt Hood!

Oregon Swimming will be hosting a Navy Seals Fitness Challenge at the Mount Hood Aquatic Center on April 16, 2011.This event is open to all 13 & over USA Swimming athletes.  The challenge consists of a 500-yard swim, push ups, pull ups, sit ups, and a 1.5 mile run.  You can register by completing the Individual Registration form and Individual Waiver form for this event here

DATE:  Saturday, 4/16/2011
TIME:  9:00 a.m.
CHALLENGE:
      500 yard swim (10 minutes rest)
      Push-ups - maximum in 2 minutes (2 minutes rest)
      Curl-ups/Sit-ups - maximum in 2 minutes (2 minutes rest)
      Pull-ups - maximum in 2 minutes (10 minutes rest)
      1.5 mile run

Coaches can register athletes as a team all at once by using the TM Event File here  Just have each swimmer fill out the Individual Registration form as well as the Individual Waiver form and turn those in when you arrive.  We will be competing against PNS Swimming, Indiana Swimming, Minnesota Swimming, Illinois Swimming, Germantown Academy and the all the Big 10 Schools.  This should be an exciting opportunity to challenge our athletes and can be used a benchmark for training and fitness.
