MHA will be hosting a stroke and turn clinic for officials at Mt Hood Aquatic Centern Wednesday, 4/25/12, at 6:00 pm in the classroom.  Please contact Dennis Eaton at ddceaton@yahoo.com or Michael Green at  mzgreen@gmail.com for more information or if you would like to attend.

Oregon swimming is again pleased to announce that we will be holding a B/C camp at the Sparks Center on the campus of Willamette University on Saturday May 26, 2012. Check in will run from 10:45 am until 11:00 am. From 11:00 until 12:30 there will be a presentation by 2000 Olympic Trails Qualifier Summir Harris and a warm-up and stretching session. The campers will then go to the pool for a water session with the coaches. This session is planned to run from 12:30 am until the camp is concluded at 2:30 pm.

As with all B/C camps, swimmers cannot have any A or faster times. This camp is for entry level swimmers. There will be a limit of 48 campers at this camp. Please fill out the form below and the attached Medical Release Form and e-mail them to Camp Coordinator George Sampson at sammyboathead@frontier.com. Your spot in camp will be confirmed via e-mail or telephone.

Anyone wanting to start the Foundations of Coaching exam or the online official’s test will be unable to do so until May 1^st. Those tests are not available while they are updated to reflect the 2012 rulebook changes. If someone started a test and needs to finish it, they can go back in to do that but no one can initiate a new test at this time. This happens every year during the last two weeks of April.

The Club Leadership and Business Management School will held on Saturday April 14, 2012 from 9:00AM – 3:00PM at the Willamalane Sports Center, 250 S. 32nd St. Springfield, OR 97478.
Enter off of 32^nd St., park in the south lot and enter through the south entrance.  We will be in the “Ken Long” room which is on the right after entering the building.

Lauren Bob-Shisler of Newport set a new record in the 8 and under 50 backstroke. Swimming at the Valley Coast Swim Group Invitational, Lauren finished in 35.24, bettering Kaila Lee's 2001 record of 36.34.

The Dolphins' bettered the 9-10 girls 200 free relay at Age Group Sectionals. Madeleine Bachand, Kaitlyn Dobler, Angela Jiang and Haily Oldham finished the race in 1:55.56, bettering LOSC's 2006 record of 1:55.87.
