Oregon Swimming Awards RecipientsNovember 19, 2006 At the Award Ceremony in Corvallis the 2006 Oregon Swimming Top 5, top 16 and record holders were honored. Oregon Swimming Award Winners were: Female Athlete of year awarded to Hannah Points from Tigard Tualatin Swim Club, Male Athlete of the Year to Logan Storie from Corvallis Aquatic CLub. Age Group Coach of the Year to Ben Swinehart from Tualatin Hills Swim Club and Senior Coach of the Year to Andy Carlisle from Tigard Tualatin Swim Club.

From I-5 take the Corvallis/Hwy 34 exit towards Corvallis. Cross the bridge coming into town. Turn left on 4th Street. Go 8 blocks and turn right on Western. The center is on the corner of 26th and Western. Just past the intersection of 26th and Western is the parking lot entrance to Reser Stadium. Park and walk across 26th to LaSells Stewart Center. From 99-W southbound: 99-W turns into 4th Street in town, follow 4th to Western. The center is on the corner of 26th and Western. Just past the intersection of 26th and Western is the parking lot entrance to Reser Stadium. Park and walk across 26th to LaSells Stewart Center. From 99-W Northbound: 99-W turns into 3rd Street in town, follow 3rd to Western, then turn left. The center is on the corner of 26th and Western. Officials needed at the Woodburn meetNovember 15, 2006 WBST would appreciate any officiating help this weekend at our meet. Saturday sessions will run from 9am to 3pm, Sunday will run from 9am to 1pm. Our Referee is Sue Fuller along with Lynn Bruce in training; You will also be well fed!! Buffalo is on the menu this weekend. Thank you, Coach Zell WBST More OSI Records Broken by LOSCNovember 8, 2006 The LOSC relay team of Daniel Chen, Luke Marshall, Alex Lyons and Nick Bode set two other OSI records at as many meets. At the Chehalem Harvest Open in October, the boys broke the 11-12 400 Medley Relay with a time of 4:14.95, breaking the 2002 record of 4:15.54 held by THSC.
At the PAC Fall Invitational, the team swam 1:52.56 in the 200 Medley relay, bettering the old record by over 3 seconds. The old record was 1:55.61 set in 2002 by THSC. Great job swimmers. Officials needed at meetsNovember 2, 2006 The PAC Fall-IN is being held this weekend at Matt Dishman Community Center in Portland (starting Friday evening). Currently we only have one ET for the entire weekend. If anyone is available to help out we would greatly appreciate it. Please email Kim Jones at kkjones@msn.com.
