All Star Team Selection

The All Star Team for the January All Star meet will be picked on December 22. As soon as the team selection has been completed, the names will be posted on the website. Information for team members will be mailed after January 1.

New OSI Record

December 13, 2004

Congratulations to Karen Turner of LOSC who lowered the 9-10 girls 50 yard freestyle. Her time of 26.81 lowered Morgan Scroggy's 1999 standard of 26.85.

Application for Officiating

Officials interested in being assigned to the Winter championships can download the application by click here. Applications are due by January 29, 2005.

Applications for All Star Meet due December 20

December 13, 2004

The applications for the All Star meet in Los Angeles are due Monday December 20. They will be swimming 200's and you can add them to the appplication. In addition, Jim Bowe would like a hytek printout of each swimmers
times.

Electronic Timing Clinic offered

December 5, 2004

An ET training will be given on December 18, 2004, at Noon at the Tualatin High School Pool. This will be between sessions at the TTSC Invitational that weekend. Anyone who takes the training can get hands on experience, as well.

Seats Still Available for Anita Nall Clinic

The Canby Swim Club announces that spots are still available in the Anita Nall Olympic Gold Medal Clinic at the Animal Meet! The swim clinic is being led by 1992 Olympic Gold Medalist Anita Nall and is being held in conjunction with the Animal Meet on Saturday December 18th. Cost is $20.00 for swimmers registered in the Animal Meet. See the Clinic Registration form posted under Camps/Clinics on the OSI Home Page or contact as noted below. Entries must be mailed by December 11th.

Also, spots are still available in the 2004 Canby Animal Meet Open (13 & O-Sunday December 19) and Animal Meet Jr. and Jr. II Open(12 & U-Saturday December 18). With the addition of the an additional session last year we have additional time and room in each of the sessions. Entry deadline is Thursday December 9. E-mail entries accepted for the meet.

Lebanon Aquastars meet

We still have room for more swimmers at the LAC Aquastars Open (was invitational) that will be held on December 10 - 12. Lebanon Aquatic Club is changing it to a single format rather than split. Oregon Swimmers Picked for National Select Camp

December 1, 2004

Three Oregon swimmers have been selected to participate at the National Select Camp in Colorado Springs in January 2005. The girls camp will be January 20-23 and boys from January 27-30.

Morgan Scroggy and Kara Nelson of THSC and Logan Storie of CAT are the selected athletes. Congratulations swimmers.

Swimmers are selected to the camp based on the STAR database of top times. The fastest two eligible athletes in each event aged 16 and under on the first day of the summer 2004 national championships are picked.

Former Oregon swimmer and 2000 Olympic bronze medalist, Chris Thompson will also attend the boys camp representing the US National team.
