Officials News Archive - June, 2007

The Maxwell Excellence Award is a recognition of an official in USA-S who has made outstanding contributions to local swimming. Each LSC can submit a candidate. One official will be selected for recognition every two months in Swimming World Magazine. The other nominees will be mentioned in an article of Swimming World.

So... I need nominations ASAP. Each nomination should include a 250 words (or less) justification/explanation why this nominee is deserving of this award. Send this to me ASAP please.

Check the Oregon Swimming web site's calendar page for upcoming meets. Especially note the following meets:

July 10-14: LC Senior Sectionals are being held in Gresham. Meet Referee: Howard Jones; Admin Referee: Tim Stevenson; This is a N2/N3 Qualifying Meet; National Evaluator: Judy L'Roy.

July 14-15: OSI 10 & U LC Championships being held in Albany. Meet Referee is Gary Arne;

July 26-29: OSI 11 & O LC Championship being held in Gresham. Meet Referee is Jacki Allendar; Admin Referee is Kathy Coddington; This is a N2/N3 Qualifying Meet; National Evaluator: Ron Van Pool.

August 7-11: Western Zone Championship being held in Farmington NM. Meet Referee is Judy L'Roy. Please consider attending. It is a fun meet to work and it would be great if Oregon could represent well, especially considering the Meet Referee is one of ours.
