Hi Folks!

Can you believe the Oregon Swimming long course championship meets are only about a month away?  Wow!  Please consider officiating at our championship meets this summer; officials are invaluable to the swimmers, and championship meets are a great learning environment for officials!

This year's 10 & Under meet will be in Bend, July 16 and 17.  The 10 & Under meet is timed finals and short, starting later on Saturday and earlier Sunday.  If you have questions or plan to work at the 10 & Under Championship Meet please send an email to the Meet Referee Margaret McMillan at mcmillan.or@gmail.com.

Two weeks later, the 11 & Over meet will be held in Eugene, July 28-31.  This meet will be four days of prelims and finals sessions as well as time trials between sessions; remember to bring along slacks for those finals sessions.  N2 and N3 evaluations in most positions will be offered at different times throughout the meet.  This meet is run in the format of a championship meet with assigned positions including deck referee, starter, and chief judge.  If you've not worked in these positions at a championship meet you should consider asking for the opportunity; championship meets are some of the few opportunities we get to really work as a chief judge in our LSC.  If you have questions, plan to work, or would like to apply for a position at the 11 & Over Championship Meet please send an email to the Meet Referee Joe Dahl at joe@tcsor.com.
