Hi Folks!

The 11 & Over Chamionships meet, our summer age group championship meet, will be held at Mt. Hood Community College July 19-22. Whether you have a swimmer attending the meet or not, this will be a great meet for improving your officiating skills. If you're an official who has not yet worked a championship meet you will learn a lot about championship meet protocol and deck presence. In addition, if you are working toward becoming a referee one of the requirements for attaining this position is working some sessions as a chief judge at a championship meet or meets, and this requirement can be satisfied at this meet.

Officials meetings begin at 7:15 each morning. Please show up early and get signed in as it is critical these meetings begin on time. There will be time trials each day immediately following prelims and its important we have enough officials stay for trials to properly offiiate these sessions. There will also be an officials meeting one hour prior to the beginning of finals each afternoon.

Our dress for a championship meet is our OSI standard white polo over blue pants or shorts for prelims, however our officials are expected to wear long pants or skirts for finals.

This will be an Officials Qualifying Meet (OQM) and evaluations will be offered in all postions. To apply in advance of the meet download the Request for Evaluation found on the Forms page and email it to either the OSI office or to the meet referee. Otherwise, complete the form on your first day of the meet and give it to Team Lead, Referee, or our Evaluator.

I encourage you to work this meet, even if only for a day; this is a great meet and you will see some nice swimming!
